America Needs More Macabre

What America needs right now is a "Dance Macabre", or the dance of death. Right now, and for some time actually, our world is in great chaos, in my mind. People have forgotten so very much, things have turned outward, so that the very essence is no longer personal, it's about everyone and everything else. Time is not so much taken about our personal surroundings as it is with everyone elses, and how we can accomplish better. We have forgotten to be grateful for what we have and who we have in our lives, there is always something missing. We need to stop.

Why is it we always complain about others and ridicule, but in our own lives we are not perfect, most definitely needing improvement? Many refuse to admit there is anything wrong in their lives, denial if you will, simply for the pain and realization that things aren't what we'd like them to be. So we go on, not happy, knowing there is something wrong, but always blame someone else or because we are without. Everyone here can be perfect in their situation, happy, joyess and nearly carefree if we

would just accept things as they are. Stop trying to change the other person, and be happy knowing we alone control our lives, we are in control. It does not take money or assets to be happy, happiness comes from within.

Getting down to the bare basics would make such a great difference. It would give us new focus on new surroundings, which really aren't new, only forgotten. Our feelings would again become our own, and not a group effort, for if everyone were alike we wouldn't feel the need to be someone else. I'm hoping some of this makes sense..

The "Dance Macabre" was a dance made to bring everyone back down to reality. A dance that told the story that no matter where you were in life, no matter your status, all were united together in a life heading towards death. That death is universal. It was meant to bring people back to home. To make them once more realize the importance of the simple pleasures. It helped get some back on track if they went wayward in life, because life was too short. It was also meant that you should take some time out of hard work, to enjoy yourself because life could come to and end at any minute.

I believe the "Dance Macabre" should become a national holiday, but then again that's me.
